The happier you are, the happier our clients will be and the better overall experience for everyone. When you interview with Action, we not only focus on CAN you do the job, but do you WANT to do the job. Not only do we like to learn about what you have done in the past; your skills, education and qualifications, but we want to hear what is important to you. Salary, commute, benefits, work environment, management styles – these are important!
We understand that looking for a job can be stressful and jumping through hoops at staffing agencies doesn’t make it any easier. Here is some helpful information about how we work and what to expect.
Although there are more creative ways to get your resume to us, we ask that you email us at resume@actionemployment.net. We love knowing which position you are most interested in; however, we will review your resume for ALL our positions; no need to send more than one resume. We receive quite a few resumes each day, we ask that you give us time to review your resume – if we find your skills match any of the positions that we have available, we will give you a call to schedule an interview.
It is in our best interest to find you a job – when you find a job, we get paid; however, we unfortunately cannot guarantee a job for every person who interviews here with us. Please understand that we cannot accept or make check-in calls weekly. We are considering you for every position we have available unless we tell you otherwise – if you see a job you think is perfect, feel free to email your Staffing Manager. We will be happy to give you an update on that job and our search for you. If you ask to be an Emergency Temporary employee, we will call you on short notice for positions. It is ok to turn these down; however, if we call you and you don’t answer, we will continue to call other candidates, whoever answers first will get the job.
Some of our clients need someone to fill in NOW! Either someone called in sick or they just realized it’s almost the end of the month and their project is nowhere near being done, whatever the reason, short notice Temporary employees are often kept busy!
Some of our temporary positions are open-ended and can last months or even years. Some positions are scheduled in advance and may last a day or a week, just depending on the client’s needs. Any variation of these options are available to our candidates interested in earning money while looking for a more permanent placement. This is a great way for candidates to prove themselves on the job – many of our clients ask to hire our temporary employees.
The Action Temp-To-Hire process generally takes 90 days, when you would be employed by us, then hired onto our client’s payroll. The benefits to you include having double the resources during the transition, the ability to ‘test the waters’ and prove your strong working abilities. Many clients choose this option because it is a cost effective way to have employees hired after their probationary period.
We coordinate the interviews and set up the logistics, you get hired on right away with our client! This option works well for candidates who are currently employed and helps employers feel that you are committed to working there and stopping your job search. With Direct Hire, Action will still be a great resource for your employment questions and we will continually check in to see how everything is going. Send us your resume today; we would love to be your resource for your job search!
Special requests are positions that are out of our normal recruitment market that we are doing for our loyal clients.
