Position: Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Specialist-Hotel background a plus! Job Number: 3369-Revised Job Type: Direct Hire Salary: $40-45,000/yr Location: Beaverton
Hotel experience such as front desk, night audit, or income audit experience a plus as the company works with hotel properties. Maintain all aspects of A/R and A/P for up to 7 entities in our corporate office. A/R is collecting monthly payments and follow-up with client/owners. A/P ranges by entity from weekly check runs to once a month check runs. Assist Senior Accountant with cash management and A/P reconciliations. A well-qualified candidate will be highly organized and keep electronic and paper files up to date for the organization.
What you will be doing:
Essential Functions A/P:
Ensure that all accounts payable are processed and accurately handled in a timely fashion: • Perform all related data entry functions: review invoices, check coding, enter data into SAGE100, run reports. • Process check runs and mail cash disbursements, accurate filing of A/P documentation • Participate in special projects for the accounting department as needed
Essential Functions A/R: • Import monthly assessment invoices into SAGE100 • Create inter-company billing invoices for pass through charges • Post cash receipts into SAGE100 for client companies and batch balance to deposit • Review A/R Aging reports and send out 30, 60, and 90 day delinquent letters as needed • Accurate filing of A/R invoices, cash receipts, and cash transfers is needed
Work Requirements: • One to three years of accounting experience • Highly organized and detail oriented • Ability to meet deadlines and juggle competing projects • Experience with multiple entities a plus; ability to multi-task • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) • Experience with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, etc) is required • Ability to work independently in a team environment
